Since Mayor Dilkens was elected in 2014, he regularly recognizes individuals, businesses and organizations in Windsor that have gone above and beyond in their efforts to make our community brighter. Windsor’s Resilient Voices 2021:
This initiative brought poetry to the City of Windsor community at a time when we were looking for small acts of kindness and inspiration to help face the challenges of the COVID-19 global pandemic. - 2019 – Awarded to Mary Ann Mulhern, Windsor’s 2nd Poet Laureate.
- 2011 – Awarded to Marty Gervais, Windsor’s Inaugural Poet Laureate.
Community Members:
- 2020 – Michael Taylor. A young swimmer who made the team representing Windsor Essex at the 2020 International Children’s Games in Hungary, which was unfortunately cancelled due to pandemic.
- 2019 – Lynn Martin. In recognition of 42 years of making a difference through engaging discourse and conversation in broadcasting.
- 2019 – HMCS Windsor. Presented to the Commanding Officer & Crew in recognition of the special bond the City of Windsor shares with its namesake.
