Tonight we will debate moving forward with one of the largest sewer infrastructure projects in our City’s history. This $89.3m plan will significantly help reduce the potential for basement flooding in the Riverside and East Riverside areas. This is the first set of recommendations to come forward from our consultant who is undertaking our Sewer Master Plan.  It’s also expected the final plan will include measures that City Council can take to affect positive change in other parts of our city where basement flooding occurs.  Climate change is affecting us all. Together we will work on solutions that improve our quality of life.
