On July 1, 62 years ago, the combat phase of the Korean War ended in armistice. Mayor Drew Dilkens was honoured to stand with members of the Windsor Veterans Memorial Service Committee, the North Wall Riders, and the Windsor Korean Community on July 1 for the Korean War Veteran’s day. They came together to honour the Canadians who took part in the battle and those who were involved in the peacekeeping years that followed. Their commitment to keep our military stories alive is vital for Windsor’s history.
