WINDSOR – Residents will have a chance to cheer for past and future Olympians from Canada and around the world as the City of Windsor hosts two back-to-back premier diving events this spring at the Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre.

Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens announced Wednesday that the City of Windsor will host the 2020 Olympic Diving Trials from May 21 to 24. This event attracts the country’s top athletes vying for a spot on Team Canada at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

The Olympic Diving Trials will be the seventh national or international elite diving event hosted by Windsor’s world-class International Aquatic and Training Centre. The event follows the FINA Diving Grand Prix-Canada Cup, which will run at the WIATC from May 14 to 17 and is expected to draw the best athletes from 15 countries.

Fans holding tickets to the FINA Diving Grand Prix-Canada Cup will receive free entry to the Olympic Diving Trials. Tickets for the events may be purchased at www.diving.ca.
