The City of Windsor has been selected as one of 25 municipalities from across Canada to take part in a pilot project to help us continue to advance our ambitious climate action objectives.

Over the next year, the Showcase Cities pilot project, led by the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy (GCoM) Canada, will expose Windsor to international experts who will provide technical support, training, exclusive networking opportunities and access to tools and resources to help our city continue to take direct action against climate change and reduce our greenhouse gas emissions.

The 25 municipalities were chosen for “leading the way on low carbon solutions,” according to a press release from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM).

“These 25 municipalities are our leaders, and they want to take their climate action further,” said Bill Karsten, President of the FCM.
