We could not have scripted a better Memorial Cup Championship event in Windsor.
Our Windsor Spitfires took part as the Host City team – then won every game, including the Championship final against the Erie Otters. The Spitfires defeated the Otters 4-3 before a capacity crowd of 6,519 at the WFCU Centre. Our ‘Spits’ displayed the true Windsor champion spirit of perseverance, determination and hard work.
The City of Windsor honoured the 2017 MasterCard Memorial Cup Winners with an emotional victory parade on May 31. The community came together in full force to celebrate our Windsor Spitfires.
